PVH Cares

In 2009, we committed to focus our philanthropic and community engagement activities in support of causes that are aligned with the following mission statement.

PVH Cares Mission Statement

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, through PVH Cares, seeks, through funding and volunteerism, to improve the well-being of all communities where its associates, suppliers, and customers live and work.

The primary focus of PVH Cares is to positively impact the lives of women and children, thereby enhancing the health of future generations of men and women.

PVH Cares also affirms its commitment to those institutions critical to the health of the fashion industry, including the arts and education.

We believe that our Company and those we seek to serve will benefit from the more cohesive, long-term strategy that was adopted in September 2009. The main platform guiding our community stewardship efforts is “Women and Children in Need – Safe Spaces, Education and Quality of Life.”

A primary organizational structure was implemented to oversee philanthropy, community involvement and associate volunteerism initiatives and to ensure alignment with the platform and mission statement. Below are the roles and responsibilities:

The PVH Foundation Board sets broad direction for all philanthropic and community involvement activities, including long term strategy, cause marketing and level of overall spending.

The PVH Cares Steering Committee makes recommendations to the Foundation Board with regard to specific programs and activities and ensures that divisional/departmental activities are consistent with the platform and core mission. This committee is made up of senior management representatives from all facets of our business.

Community Involvement Committees (CIC) are groups formed at locations around the world to oversee associate driven fundraising and volunteerism initiatives supporting causes that are consistent with our mission and important to the communities where we operate our business. There are currently nine CICs worldwide.
